Looks of Love contest & two kids in the City

Some of you probably remember a few months back when I had everyone and their mom going to vote for us on the Brides of Oklahoma in their Looks of Love competition...and boy did you. We could not have been more thankful for the more than ONE THOUSAND votes we got to win the contest. It was especially awesome since we weren't able to go on an official honeymoon right after we got married in May (school problems). It gave us another small opportunity to hang out and have fun away from work & class. This week we were finally able to get away and head west to the City. It was a great time of fancy food, swanky accommodations (at least for us!), and fun moments together!

Thursday afternoon we explored OKC and relaxed at our hotel before we ate at Red PrimeSteak for dinner (so so so good). Then we meandered through the streets of Downtown OKC for a fun mini photo session... more of that to come soon! Friday we started our day by going to the beautiful Myriad Botanical Gardens. If you don't know my husband, something you might not guess is that he loves (and I mean looooves) trees and plants. Walking through a garden is like quiz bowl "What type of plant is this?...what tree is that?". Never in my life did I think I would be able to identify so many things that grow from the ground.

We finished our morning with our typical coffee shop exploration. We found ourselves at Okay Yeah Co., the most adorable coffee shop/flower shop combo. Literally I can't explain how excited I was when we walked in this place. It even had an airstream. AN AIRSTREAM. Now Austin and I want one, which I don't think is in the cards any time soon, but we can dream right?

Thanks to every person who voted for us or shared my many (many) Facebook posts earlier in the year. We are so grateful!
